Responsibilities

Peraton has an immediate opening for a Senior Security Administrator.  The candidate must be self-driven, organized, and a result oriented individual capable of effectively working multiples tasks simultaneously. The Security Specialist will work closely with Corporate FSO, security counterparts, and functional areas supporting DOD programs. The administrator will be responsible for the following; 

 

  • Provide security-related briefings, debriefings, and training as required by the NISPOM and clients.
  • Provide pre and post foreign travel briefings in accordance with government requirements.
  • Verify security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Prepare visit requests for access to job sites based on appropriate clearance and need to know.
  • Administer badging and access requirements for personnel, including paperwork for government or other contractor facilities as needed.
  • Oversee security clearance process for employees, including processing personnel for new clearances, track and notify employees of periodic reinvestigations, manage personnel clearances in the DISS database Security Information Management System (SIMS) and related files.
  • Provide information security by ensuring classified documents are properly marked, accounted for, safeguarded, inventoried, disseminated and destroyed.
  • Provide security support to Program Management by following and applying contract security procedures detailed in DD254 and Security Classification Guides.
  • Support self-inspections and DCSA Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Must be aware of present day security issues and the ability to manage customer expectations, internal and external.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with applicable government/company security directives and instructions that include, but are not limited to the NISPOM
  • Update databases and other required documents.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree, and 10-12 years of equivalent security experience, or MS with with 8-10 years of equivalent security experience, to include 2+ years of office administration and facility security experience. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • 3-4 years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DCSA security manuals, and OPSEC principles
  • 3-4 years of experience working with the Department of Defense policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Active Secret security clearance

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Proficient with DISS, SIMS and running reports
  • Knowledge of DD254s and Security Classification Guidance
  • Knowledge of Information Security (Document Control)
  • Knowledge of physical security to include experience with Closed Rooms and the use of alarm panels and combination locks
  • Top Secret security clearance preferred.

Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $72,500
Salary Mid: $145,000
Salary Maximum: $181,300
