Engineering Supervisor (Ability to Obtain Clearance)

The Peraton facility located in Princess Anne, Maryland is actively seeking a Deputy Project Manager to join the highly competent Princess Anne Engineering team delivering world class solutions to a variety of DOD institutions.  This position directly reports to the Princess Anne Program Manager.  The position will lead and manage the technical operations organization consisting of the following groups: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, GNC, machine shop, electrical shop, mechanical technicians, and launch vehicle technicians. At some point in near future, this role MAY transition to manage only engineering disciplines and not production.

Responsibilities:

• Support Program Management as required either through meeting engineering and production deadlines, assigning personnel to project teams, and/or participating in special projects.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in the tech ops organization.
• Work closely with the quality organization on improving quality.
• Understand and strive to achieve strategic and operational objectives of the programs.
• Hire new team members as required and build teams.
• Resolve day to day project problems and manage team conflicts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Related Field
• 8 years of experience in Engineering
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross discipline teams
• Clear communication style
• Solid understanding of manufacturing

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with development of low-cost suborbital rockets

Salary Minimum: $60,000
Salary Mid: $120,000
Salary Maximum: $150,000

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
