Responsibilities

Peraton requires DODAF SOF SIE Integration Architects to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. 

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract

(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide

USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),

and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network

Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and

common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct

training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF)/Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Environment (SIE) Integration Architects need an extensive background in all aspects of enterprise architecture. This SOF Information Environment (SIE) supports global IT infrastructure.  The SIE encompasses all SOF IT assets throughout USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and other subordinate commands (hereinafter referred to as USSOCOM), down to the deployed sensor and warfighter. The SIE includes the people, processes, and platforms that, in concert with our Joint Forces, Interagency, and Multinational partners, sustains our national defense mission. The SIE houses the USSOCOM data centers, related IT enterprise services, and SOF’s global terrestrial and satellite connectivity. The interconnected IT enterprise systems provide the integration of information, applications, and processes throughout USSOCOM’s global operations as well as across DoD organizational boundaries. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to design, and develop open source, enterprise infrastructure, applications, systems, or enterprise integration solutions, including tiered, virtualized and cloud-based environments. Develop as-is and to-be architecture artifacts, including DoDAF views, and author technical documents, Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), enterprise architecture (EA) roadmaps, frameworks, EA templates, reference models, baseline and target architectures, briefing documents, and whitepapers.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and documenting web site architectures and best practices
  • Maintaining and documenting cloud architectures and best practices
  • Comprehensively review existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required
  • Providing engineering design and architecture services
  • Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) architectures of USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces.
  • Maintaining and updating documents from system architecture and
  • Developing and documenting website architectures and best practices
  • Planning, engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing online certificate status protocol architectures, certificate revocation lists, and certificate
  • Maintaining and documenting cloud architectures and best practices
  • Support comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services, which includes comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
  • Adhere to Engineers (IEEE), as well as applicable military standards such as MILCON and Installation Information Infrastructure Architecture (I3A) standards.
  • Performing Analyses of Alternatives (AoA)
  • Developing architectures to optimize infrastructure
  • Leading and managing architecture and engineering teams
  • Facilitating Architecture Review Boards
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • At least three years of previous experience working with DODAF architectures
  • DoDAF certification required

Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
