SITEC - Data Security Analyst

Peraton requires Data Security Analysts to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. 

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract

(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide

USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),

and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network

Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and

common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct

training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The Data Security Analyst must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of computer and network security, including such areas as firewall administration, encryption technologies and network protocols. The Analyst must possess strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self-motivation. The Data Security Analyst should be able to multitask and work well under pressure. It is important that Data Security Analyst keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing current operations support and subject matter expertise for data services
• The contractor shall troubleshoot and proactively resolve technical issues related to NetOps to include proactive data network monitoring
• Provide data required to support the development of engineering courses of action
• Perform real-time analysis, forensics, and event correlation of DCO data from tools.
• Examine network topologies to understand data flows through the network(s).
• Identify and analyze anomalies in network traffic using metadata.
• Monitor external data sources to maintain situational awareness of DCO threat conditions and determine which security issues may have an impact on USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces.
• Perform trend analysis using historical data collected from the operational network to identify operational problems and areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot the enterprise data networks and evaluate the impact of architectural changes on the network.
• Removing data accidentally migrated from higher classification systems to lower classification systems from both online storage and archived backup media.
• Performing testing activities to ensure Government data is protected from unauthorized disclosure and remains under Government control.
• Testing shall verify data at rest encryption on cloud
• Testing shall verify data leak protection between applications, virtual machines, or physical infrastructure.
• Performing security audits, risk assessments, and analyses
• Making recommendations for enhancing data systems security
• Researching attempted breaches of data security and rectifying security weaknesses
• Formulating security policies and procedures
• Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

Locations:

• Ft Bragg, NC

Required qualifications:

• A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
• DoDD 01-M IAT III certification is required
• Six years of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate’s field of study and
• Prior experience performing in a Data Security Analyst position in support of a DoD enterprise level information technology program

Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
