Responsibilities

The candidate will support our client’s mission goals and strategic objectives as a Technical Project Manager by providing strategic planning, business planning, and Program Increment planning and other release train planning support to the program. The candidate will use the Agile Framework and be responsible for managing the technical direction and planning of portfolio of projects through design, implementation, and testing.  

 

Specific Job Functions include:

  • Assisting management with establishing the strategic direction of the team
  • Defining project scope and objectives and then driving initiatives for achieving established objectives
  • Serve as the interface to multiple external development teams to communicate requirements,
  • Conducting project meetings and documenting outcomes of these meetings and action items
  • Gathering and vetting requirements for development efforts, ensuring the requirements are complete, unambiguous and concise
  • Driving Sprint Planning and Release Planning Events for the portfolio
  • Preparing schedules for milestone briefings and project documentation (e.g.,detailed work plans, project estimates, resource plans, status reports, control gate documentation, other technical documentation)
  • Monitor projects to ensure work scope and schedule are met and to communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitating internal and external communication with stakeholders
  • Tracking project commitments and ensuring projects deliver on their commitments
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables
  • Managing the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviewing vendor deliverables

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with managing multiple software development teams.
  • Experience with web technologies and familiarity state of the market.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and software as a service architecture.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and working action items to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills to include giving briefings/presentations, planning and facilitating meetings, and providing support for technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex issues clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
  • Self-starter and ability to manage multiple projects and/or activities.
  • Understanding of project control gate processes.
  • Experience with agile development models/processes.
  • Ability to work independently and across large teams.
  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science/Engineering, Engineering, Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience related to the specified job functions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Intelligence Community Experience
  • 1 year of experience managing projects using an Agile Framework
  • Agile Development Certifications and Experience
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and commercial messaging products
  • Familiarity with the OSI Model

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
