Security Administration Supervisor

Peraton is seeking a Security Administration Supervisor to provide Peraton employees and their clients/partners with program security support and facilitate compliance of all National Space Solutions Business Unit programs at the Herndon facility.

Responsiblities: 

• Lead a group of security professionals to deliver security operations.  Support to include execution of Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Visitor Control at the Herndon location
• Interpret and enforce government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to program security personnel
• Interface with program managers and maintain liaison with US Government Program Security Officers
• Provide prime and/or subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's and security guidance
• Develop and revise program level security plans, procedures, and instructions
• Provide classification guidance to employees, develop, and provide security education and awareness training, conduct security briefings, lead security self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents

• Bachelor’s (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years security experience, to include 3+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Must possess a high level of understanding of government security related policies, procedures, and initiatives (32 CFR Part 117, ICD 704, ICD 705, Trusted Workforce 2.0)
• Basic knowledge of intrusion detection systems, access control devices and TEMPEST requirements
• Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations
• Ability to lead and build a strong security team
• Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security
• Highly proficient written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on clear and concise presentation of complex information
• Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions
• Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a dynamic environment

Preferred:

• Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) experience
• Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification
