Software (Java) Developer

Peraton is current looking for a Software Developer III to support the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Account. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton team working on the Data Analytics and Personnel Accountability (DAPA) suite of applications and capabilities.

• Currently hold an active/current DoD Secret clearance
• Current/Active CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain w/in 90 days

You will:

• Develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain basic business and technical solutions
• Determine computer user needs: requirements analysis
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
• Ensure software/code standards and Cyber security requirements are met
• Initiate corrective action/solutions to stay on project schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and responsibilities

• BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
• US Citizenship required
• Must Currently hold a Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain a DOD security clearance a plus
• Current/Active CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain w/in 90 days
• Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories
• Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
• Solid understanding of and experience with Core Java/J2EE and Spring Framework
• Understanding of Angular and/or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with web services
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and practices

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WebLogic/JBOSS
• Experience with web services (SOAP and/or REST)
• Experience with myBATIS, Maven, ANT
• Experience with databases (MySQL, NoSQL,Oracle...)
• Experience with Angular and/or other JavaScript frameworks
• Experience in Agile/Scrum
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and responsibilities
• Ability to distill complex problems through the application of design patterns
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) policy or procedures
• Active Secret/ Top Secret Clearance

Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
