Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking qualified individuals to join our team to provide engineering support for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. This includes conducting Agile software engineering in a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment, performing Cloud architectural design, operation, and administration functions, and cyber security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support. Also included are rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. 

 

Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems and provides overall level 2 support. Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems. Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks. Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLR requirements. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance and problem resolution. Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts. Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards. Enforces network security procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum certification as 541 (or similar as required by the Technical Instruction) at the Advanced level per DoDD 8140.01, or successor
  • IAT Level III certification
  • Secret Clearance
  • Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Network Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with STIG implementation
  • Demonstrated experience with performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution Tool
  • Demonstrated expereince configuring Cisco networking devices
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing packet analyzer tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues

Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
