Mid Level Systems Administrator

Peraton is seeking a System administrator who will manage the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle). Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades server applications and hardware. Discipline description: Discipline Description: Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors and maintains information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software. Ensures that IS and cyber security plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security. Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. 

• BS with 8-10 year experience
• Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph is required
• Experience in cloud environment with scripting and SALTStack
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required
