Chief Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

We are searching for a talented Chief Infrastructure Engineer to become part of Peraton’s Federal Strategic Cyber organization. This position will be located in Arlington, VA.

The Chief Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, etc. You will leverage your expertise to ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer and/or software requirements into total systems solutions that drive program success. The Chief Infrastructure Engineer will utilize functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

What you’ll do:

The Chief Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Designs and configures cloud architecture, configures cloud integration efforts and implement plans for hosting complex application workloads
• Acts as technical liaison between operations teams, engineers and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability
• Develops/maintains systems configurations and executes administration and operational duties on computer systems while maintaining data/information as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 20+ years’ experience
• US Citizenship and a current active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance; with SCI ELIGIBILITY
• Certified in ITIL 3 framework with willingness to obtain ITIL 4
• Experience that includes Cisco, Juniper, and Equinix
• Experience leading client delivery engagements and working with senior-level client management

Desired Qualifications:

• Current SCI Clearance
• Possess ITIL 4 certification
• Possess one (or more) of the following: SAFe Practitioner (SP), SPC, LPM, CISSP, Cloud+, Security+
• PMP
